Ok, so i had all my invites labeled -i had everyones from work except for one of my co workers bc she was home recovering from a brain tumor...so everyone from work said don't stamp them bring them in!
So i did...including the lady who was absent from work....(she is now back )and well i put it on her desk without a label and she came to my desk and told me she's very Hurt and insulted :(
um- don't make me feel like S*&$ -i explained to her i had to have addresses in for label printing @ a certain time and i was pressed for time. she said @ least put her name on it...bc it was impersonal..(which she's right) UGH but i figured she would have understood- i feel like dooty now

I wouldn't feel bad at all!
But how do your co-workers know if they're invited with a guest, or are all people invited with a guest? I assumed the envelope was the guideline.

she just has a husband she's in her mid 50's it would be & guest ...but ugh

Tell that woman to get a life!!!! You were kind enough to invite and given the circumtances she should have been honored that you put the invite on her desk. DO NOT FEEL BAD you did nothing wrong and that woman was out of line.

I think I would have told her her invite was revoked. That is incredibly rude on her part. Wow some people are just never happy.

i think she was being a little tooo sensitive, yeah you could have taken the time to print all the envelopes but most people, especially people you see at work everyday would understand dont worry about it

I'm sorry what!!!! she's got nerve- I hand delivered to a lot of people and it was actually the people that were most important

Honestly, I would walk over to where they are talking and ask her if she would like to give the invitation back since she is so hurt and insulted... at least you thought to ask her to YOUR wedding in the first place.. Where the hell does she come off being so entitled. DON'T feel bad!

Wow, I'm sorry, but that's some nerve! I think considering what she must have been through, with a brain tumor, she should be pretty excited to have something like a wedding to look forward to. Sorry, if that sounds harsh. It's not that you singled her out, right...you said everyone at your office got their invitation the same way. Wow...

i dont think you did anything wrong, but try not to take it too personally. i've heard about temporary or even permanent personality changes that result from surgery to correct a brain tumor, or even the location of the tumor to begin with. if that's not the case i'm sure she's under a lot of stress and she probably just let it out on you.
not saying it's right, but there's probably more to it than just the absence of a label..
