I figured it out....

First off obviously I am a bride in hiding, due to lurkers and I do not want to spoil it for them that I think I may have figured out my shower date and I am a little bumed about it. I really wanted it to be a surprise, but I guess that is hard b/c everyone knows they are getting a shower.

I am hopping that they are just trying to throw me off, but I am not to sure because all signs are pointing that way.

It is weird because I went from being excited to upset in a matter of seconds.

you never know! i was sure i knew my shower date (my sis/MOH was sooo obvious in scheduling 'brunch' plans with me weeks in advance) but i was completely surprised.

my family had even made up fake invites for my dad's surprise 50th (which happened, but on a later date and not as a surprise) to get me there.

I know how you feel. I was completely bummed when I realized that I knew it was my shower.I didnt want to ruin it for my Bridal Party either. But when I got there I was overwhelmed by everyone being there for me and the generosity that everyone showed!!!
You will have a good time no matter what!

I love surprises, but I have to know about my shower because there are too many things happening in our family right now (good things) to keep things quiet and secret. My parents have & will be coming up from Florida 4 times this year for various family events (my sister's baby shower, her giving birth, my shower, our wedding) and coupled with coordinating FH's hectic business trip schedule and very few weekends when he's home and I'm free too, there was no way around it. So if it makes you feel any better, a lot of us already know about our showers too.

Just think that when you do arrive there, everything else will be a surprise, and you'll be with friends and family who came there to celebrate with you!!

i figured out where my shower was - and i was kind of bummed about it - but that only lasted for a few hours - i think it was just because i had something different in mind so it was kind of a shock i guess (but not really that much of a shock b/c somehow i figured it out ) but anyway, the point im trying to make is that you will still be excited - TRUST ME - i am super excited about my shower - i can't wait for it! i don't even know why i was upset in the first place and now i am really really really looking foward to it - so even though you may have figured something out its not going to change how much fun you have....i was a little upset too because the place wasnt going to be a surprise anymore but the time and place really arent what its about - its about the people throwing it, your friends and family - and that makes me feel good and excited.....for instance, i know where my shower is, so obviously when we leave to go there i am going to know right away its my shower (but by the time you are in the car, so many brides have figured it out already anyway) - but i think its still going to be crazy walking in and seeing everyone KWIM? even if you are prepared im sure its still a surprise feeling to see all those people there waiting for you!

even though i kinda knew about mine ...i was still surprised ...

when you have everyone you love in one room screaming surprise at you it's a little overwhelming
