I finally did it...

I finally found some newborn clothes that were neutral and bought 7 outfits yesterday with two matching hats/booties. My husband was excited that I finally gave in and bought some stuff for our baby.

For those interested, JcPenneys is having a great sale on their baby items. Most things are on sale for 20% off and if you use your JcPenneys charge, you get another 15% off on top of that. (If you pay any other way, you get 10% off.) We ended up getting all of the stuff for about 50 dollars!


Edited to say that sale ends tonight for those interested. Also, We saved 40 dollars!

I just want to add not to go too crazy with the neutral stuff. I got a closet full of neutral outfits and things for my shower, and the minute Nicolas was born, all I wanted was BOY STUFF!!!

He wore his neutral outfits, but only to hang around the house.

Sue, I have looked high and low for some things that are neutral and to be honest aside from buying directly at Carters (at our outlet mall here) most stores (like Gap, Children's Place, and Old Navy) have very gender specific outfits. With the sale though, JcPenneys had the best deal.

I was also happy because some of the sleepers have the fold over hands (to prevent the newborn from scratching and to keep their hands warm.)
