I finally got my dress!! Question about veils though..

After waiting so long, I finally got my dress!!! It's a Jasmine couture dress and I felt like such a princess in it! I didn't want to take it off!!! My sister cried when she saw me in it and said my dad got all choked up. Who would have known??

Now, the veil situation... I just looked on E-bay (as per your advice) and just saw something about a diamond white veil. What is that? And, will all 'white' veils match my dress? Sorry for the dumb questions, but thanks for your help.

Diamond white is inbetween white and ivory. If your dress is bright white then you want to go with a white veil. Diamond will not look right next to bright white.

Great taste I had to get a white veil because 'our' dress is sooo white. Congrats!! Where did you get your dress?

I bought it at Allisa Bridal in Brooklyn. Where did you get yours?
The veil I tried on with it is so beautiful, but I can't fathom spending so much on it. It's hard to describe, it had detailing around the edges (about an inch from the very edge) and it was simple but sparkly. My sister took pics of me in it, I can't stop looking at it!! It was a long veil, but came short of the end of the train so you can see the detailing before the border of the dress. Does that make sense???

I am going to experiment with the scanner this weekend, hopefully I can share a pic with you.

Love the dress! It sounds like you tried on a cathedral train. You can go somewhere else for your train. I got mine at FantasyLand (P.F.)

they say diamond white is for silk/satin dresses & white is for tulle edited to say what a gorgeous dress!!

That does make sense. I can't wait to see your pics. I got my dress at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. I got my veil at Fantasyland in Patchogue for a great price. I also did not want to spend a lot of money on the veil. I only plan on wearing it for the ceremony. My veil goes to the middle of my back and has a 1/4 inch thick satin cord edge. It is very white!
