I forced a dress code change

I forced a dress code change

There are at least 4 people in my office who wear jeans on a daily basis. Friday is dress down day, and that used to be the only day I wore jeans.

We had a fundraiser a couple months back where, if you bought a button for this charity, it would entitle you to have dress down Thursday as well, for a month.

The fundraiser ended and I decided to continue wearing jeans every Thursday. Four other people already do it, why not me?

It took less than a month and what do you know? A new dress code policy was submitted today. No jeans during the week!

I ruined it for everyone!!

I'm so proud.

That's friggin awesome. At my job, Friday is casual day [which is a joke for women] and apparently not too long ago, someone abused the jeans ability [torn jeans i'm sure] and got them banned completely. Thanks a$$wipe who doesn't even work at our company anymore. Our office is already business casual for the most part so that leaves very little for the women to dress down for on Friday EXCEPT jeans which are forbidden. We're talking ALL CAPS in the employee manual.

Luckilly, I abuse my pregnancy and wear t-shirts every day...not only are maternity button-downs hard to find, but they are really $$$$ so I just wear t-shirts. hahaha. suckers.

Our dress code policy got changed the minute we moved to our new office. But mainly people were abusing the 'business casual' attire so much, we had people showing up in sweats, sneakers, track pants, you name it.

I won't lie, I was guilty of the track pants & sneakers 2 or 3 times, but only on Fridays.
