I went to visit my sister in TX and we went to David's Bridal (of all places!) and I tried on at least 10 different dresses. My sister kept telling me to keep trying this one dress that was just so gorgeous on the mannequin, but I had my doubts. Anyway, I tried it on, and my sister said my face just completely changed when I looked in the mirror. I didn't see my face because I was so busy looking at the dress, but she said she knew right then and there that it was the one. And then I knew. It's completely not what I expected and not at all what I would have pictured myself in, but it just looked gorgeous on.
I'm going to have the spaghetti straps removed and have a wrap made for it for the ceremony. Also, the picture doesn't do it justice. The front of the dress is very simple, except for the sash, but the box pleats make a huge difference, and you can't see them from the back. Plus, the embroidery on the sash is so much better in person. I'm still going to try to get a copy of it made for free (hey, I'm cheap, what can I say), so I haven't ordered it yet.

I have seen this dress in person and it's GORGEOUS! I also was shocked that I found my dress in David's. Congrats, it's absolutely beautiful!

Thanks ladies! I really did not want a dress that has to be bustled, so I'm hoping there's a way to shorten the hem (or just the sash) so that I don't have to bustle it. But if need be, I guess I will.

THAT IS MY DRESS TOO!!!!!!! Except mine didnt have the straps. The detail on the front of the dress is beautiful! It was the 1st dress i tried on and i fell in love.

Angel, I think it's the lack of detail on the front (just the design of the dress itself) and its simplicity that sold me...more so than the sash!
