JoRo-Wow! I just looked at the Marisa website and all of the dresses are beautiful. If you don't mind me asking, are they overly expensive? I love your dress in particular--I am a no-frills type of girl and aould love a simple yet elegant gown like this. Congrats!

No way, oh my gosh! i do just love it. When you had it fitted, did it come out very mermaid like? That is the one thing i am worried about! But i can't believe it is your dress. When is your wedding?? Mine is in April so hopefully we won't be too close together!
Do you mind me asking? How are you going to wear your hair? Are you wearing a veil?
RichsBride, I have very long hair, but i am thinking that i should wear it at least half up because of the back. i was thinking that maybe i would stick with the retro theme and try to wear it all curled under and in a low bun or even pony sort of like in the old movies. But unsure. I just feel so good having gotten this one big thing checked off!

JoRo - I haven't gotten it altered yet, but I'm with you, don't want it to be too mermaid, more like a very fitted A-line. Just make sure your seamstress knows exactly what you want. I am wearing a veil for the 10 mins of my ceremony, then it's coming off. I really don't want to wear it at all but everyone tells me I should, if only for the ceremony. My hair will probably be half up/half down. My FH loves my hair down, otherwise I'd put it up.
Oh, my wedding is 3/30/03 - so it is close to yours! If you check your original posting about Marisa gowns, i posted a photo of me when I tried it on when it arrived.

Cogratulations!! Finding a dress you love is great - once you try on 'THE' dress, you know its the one! I had my bridal shop order my dress for me b/c they didn't stock it, and I had pretty much fallen in love with it from advertisements in the bridal magazines. As soon as I put it on, I knew for sure it was the one.
