I found 'the one'! I got a postcard last week about a sample sale at Lotus Bridal in Brooklyn. I had never heard of it, but something told me to give it a try. It took two hours to drive the 16 miles to get there (thanks to the san gennaro feast) but once my mom and I got there we agreed it was worth the trek. For days I had been trying on the 'same' dress over and over again, but Lotus had 'different' dresses and Wendy was amazing! I was torn between two dresses one traditional and one modern. I went home to think about it. they were closed Sunday but today after work I brought one of my bridesmaids with me and there was no debating between the two dresses anymore. I love the traditional dress. And since it was a sample sale I am able to get a dress I love within my budget. For those of you shopping, definitely give them a visit. I was unsure because I hadn't heard Lotus mentioned here but Wendy is super sweet, their seamstress came from Kleinfelds and quoted me reasonable prices for altering the sample to fit me, and they have a lot of more unique dresses.

Re: I found my dress!!!!
It's Anjolique.
I fell in love with an AV dress at Kleinfelds, but didn't like the price (10X this one!) and did not like the service. I think I am one of the only brides to be in and out of Kleinfeld's in less than 30 mins. I was only able to find 3 dresses I liked in my price range and Sarah was useless in terms of giving suggestions or being helpful. I've heard Kleinfeld's is hit or miss...for me a big miss.
Couldn't have been a more different experience than with Wendy at Lotus. She is so sweet and helpful.
