FH called me and told me that his Mom asked him this morning if we want our wedding gift before the wedding so we can use it towards our final balance at the RH or for one of our vendors.....then she told him how much they were going to give us and he said he almost fell off his seat! It certainly can't pay for the wedding by any means BUT its still a large gift and we were both SHOCKED - i almost feel bad because i have no idea where they are coming up with the money.....FH also told me his Mom started getting stuff for me for the shower - and we didn't even register yet! A lot of girls complain and vent about their FMILS but I am so lucky to have such a great one! My FILS are such great people. I love em!

That's great!!!! Lucky you! FILS didn't even get us an Engagement Gift lmao!!! Not even the typical frame that they get extended family as a congrats....oh well. I'm happy for you!

That's awesome. My in-laws already told us that they would give us our wedding present before the wedding to help pay off the balance or as a wedding gift to put towards a house (or whatever). They are also paying for the whole rehearsal dinner adn they pretty much paid for the entire engagement party! I am pretty lucky!

sounds great! I feel the same way...i am forunate in that I have none of those feelings toward my FIL's that so many do...I love them
