I get to leave early today

My boss came over and signed my timesheet and filled in my hours for friday. He wrote 8 hours and told me i will be leaving early today. So I am out of here at 3 or 4. Probably 4 because I dont want to leave too early...

Its been a great first week here...

You ladies are LUCKY!!!
I am still upset that I will only be paid for 9 days on my next ck b/c I called in yesterday. I told my boss my life is too precious to drive myself to the train station and possibly something bad happen in the process. She thought I was nuts!
People that live walking distance from their train stations (like she does) just don't understand.

i got everyone's mail and all these people get are magazines and junk. who keeps this stuff. i am thinking of just tossing this junk and just giving everyone there regular mail of letters and invoices. it would be so much easier on my part...

I take the M train and its about a 4 block walk from our apartment and then its a 30 minute train ride to my office. Its a good commute.

Marcy Avenue and then I switch for the 6... but when my office moves downtown my ride will be only about 15 minutes!!

I have a 30 minute ride on the M from Fresh Pond to Broad street. When I was in Midtown I had to take the M and then the 6 and that was about an hour commute.

I love being downtown.

Where downtown is your office moving too??

Wall Street... they haven't told us yet but everyone knows anyway! We'll be right near each other!

That is so funny. I used to work on Wall Street. Them my company moved me to NJ and I was layed off a short time afterwards. I then worked in midtown and things just werent working out, and I am now on Broad Street for a communications company that I love.

I love downtown. Great stores, and everything is right here, 30 minute commute. I always loved being downtown. I'll take downtown over midtown any day.

I was always in midtown from my very first job but wanted to be downtown because I live in Brooklyn and it used to be a much longer commute because I lived in Dyker Heights at the time... but then I got the job downtown - with that nasty boss I posted about earlier - so I thought I was better off in midtown.

We'll see how it goes when we move!

What I really love about downtown is the huge JR mega store near city hall, the nassau street mall (it has a lot of clothing stores), AT&T is near by (when I had my cell phone it was great having them in the area), my eye doctor is on nassau street.
