I give up...

I give up...

I had asked one of my cousins to be a BM back in June and then 2 months later she finds out she is pregnant, and due on my wedding date. So obviously she can not be in my wedding party for fear that she might give birth. So now her sister which is also my BM just told my mother that she is pregnant. I wish them well, but a part of me is so upset. I'm I wrong?? I was suppose to finalize the Bm dress order this week. I still haven't found a replacement for my one cousin. What am I going to do. I am sorry for the vent!

If the other cousin isn't going to have the baby until after the wedding she can still be in it. One of my BM's will be pregnant and another one will have just given birth so they just ordered their dresses a couple of sizes bigger.

This is such a tough call. On the one hand, you really can't dictate when another person has a baby, on the other hand, losing a BM because of their due date stinks.

Try to be happy for your cousins, and don't worry about replacing them in the BP - it doesn't have to be even.

I wouldn't 'replace her'. I know it's hard when you've planned so hard, but think of it this way......

I'd rather lose a BM to pregnancy than to so many other worse things out there.

I ran into the same problem. One of my bridesmaids ( a friend since grade school) told me that she was pregnant in August and due 4 days after my wedding. Due to the fact that she lives in Florida and I'm in New York, not only will she not be able to be a part of the bridal party but she won't be able to attend the wedding at all. About 5 weeks or so after that, my Matron of Honor tells me that she's expecting too! She's due at the end of May so she'll be almost ready to pop by the time the wedding roles around. Thank God for Watters and Watters. They have a maternity line so my matron can still look as good as the other bridesmaids

My MOH will have just given birth three months before my wedding. She got measured when she was two months pregnant. SO we will order her dress in that size,
Either have your cousin be in your wedding party pregnant, and in a maternity line dress. Or just have her sit out, and be a guest at your wedding. You don't have to fill her spot. It is okay to have a uneven bridal party. I should know, mine is 4 girls and 7 guys.

I understand wanting even sides but you don't have to. I also understand your frustration and agree that at least it's a happy reason for them to not attend/be BM. I also understand that you wanted to have them stand with you and be their slimmer selves but it's OK!! Babies are happy reasons and you can work it out. At lest you have maternity dresses as options! It'll all work out for the best.

Think of it this way.....

If you have a pregnant BM, then you will look thinner next to her.
