I give up...

... on this wedding. I'm SO compromising on everything. All I want is a wedding in Disney World and this past week I can't stop crying. I'm trying so hard to bring Disney to NY, but I'm frustrated! I feel like it's just a failure waiting to happen.

My motto in life is that you only life once, so do what makes you happy, and I'm not even following my own advice. I'm so disappointed in myself.

I'm at the point where I don't even want to plan anymore... I'm resenting my wedding.

I think the worst part is that I can't even get a feel better hug from my fiance since he's 3000 miles away.


Sorry for the rant....

I'm going to Disney next weekend (I'm chaperoning my HS's Band at the Disney competition)....

Is there anything that you would like me to pick up for you?? I'm gonna get my Minnie ears with the veil and the Mickey ears with the top hat

I'm sure we don't like that far on LI...I can bring you back something!!! Let me know!!

I think I am... I just want to make it as awesome as a real Disney wedding would be, but I'm realizing that I can't be as good as Disney.

I wanted each table to have a different centerpiece, but I feel like there isn't enough time to do anything. Plus, I'm worried about it being to childish.


I was naming each table after a Disney movie or park and wanted the table to look like that movie/park... so the Little Mermaid table would be underwater/beach themed and the Magic Kingdom table would have Cinderella's castle...

Sweetie...this is your wedding...if you are in love with Disney, don't let others tell you otherwise. My entire house is decorated in Disney 'stuff'...the original concept artwork is framed and hanging as my main piece of artwork in my living room...

The centerpieces sound wonderful, not childish at all...like you said, you only live once so don't live with regrets!

PS - I promise to give Mickey and hug and let him know your coming and need his help However, although you're going in a month, I'm serious when I say I can get something for you if you need/want something earlier! Just let me know!!

I know exactly what you mean! Both FH and I are huge Disney World fans... we even got engaged there this past October during the Wishes fireworks! I have always dreamed of a wedding down at Disney, at the wedding pavillion. However, FH's family is not Disney people at all. We decided on no Disney wedding because we were afraid his family would ruin the magic for us lol.

It's frustrating, but no worries.. you can make your wedding as magical as it would be at WDW! I was just down there 2 weeks ago and they have cute Mickey Minnie bride/groom stuff =)

That's so magical that you got engaged during wishes! I met my fiance while working at Disney. Our first date started at Hollywood Studios and ended at Magic Kingdom watching wishes... As soon as we're married, we're moving back down.

I was thinking of doing crystal hidden Mickeys, maybe make them and hide them in the centerpieces, and maybe have a few of them hidden in my bouquet. (I hear they do that down at WDW weddings) Beauty and the Beast is my all time favorite Disney movie. And my FH IS kinda beastly lol.

I know in the past year or so Disney was laying people off :( due to the economy, but hopefully things will pick up! I used to work at the Disney Store at Roosevelt Field, lol so I kinda had an 'IN' at one point. I used to love the discounts and free admission to the parks =)

Yes, it would be great to know someone if/when we move down there!
