I got *3* flowergirls now! Wish someone had told me!
So we're trying not to have kids at the reception, but there are these two girls that are just adorable and very close to my family and so my grandmother made them flowergirls in order to have them there! And their mother is making their dresses from the BM's material - forget about the fact that I already picked out another FG and I bought her dress and her jewelery and her little ring of roses for her head. Oh, and that my grandmother seems to think that, since she mentioned it in passing, it was my idea.
My family kills me sometimes.
I don't really mind, one of these little girls made me a card and it said 'I love you Cande' (Candy is my nickname in my family) and drew a little picture of me. It's just that the dresses WILL NOT MATCH! And my first FG had a petal thing going on - who know HOW this mother is gonna make those dresses!
Grandma says - we'll make the first FG a mini bride. But I bought her a dress with ROSE PETALS IN IT and it HAS PINK - she will NOT be a mini bride!
Whatever, I'll have two matching FGs and one not - my BMs don't match anyway.

well you can always have the matching girls walk together and the other walk separately. maybe it'll look like you did it on purpose.
i have three flowergirls too (they are triplets though)- it's kinda crazy! but i'm sure it'll work out in the end.

Anyway, it doesnt matter that they wont match - the dress sounds cute anyway! But still, they should have told you!

What if you make one of the girls a bell ringer? I just came across this idea, but I forgot where. Anyway, the article said the child should start ringing the bell and walk down the aisle. This makes everyone aware that the procession is starting and it draws attention to the little one. Just an idea.....

That's what I was going to suggest. have the matching 2 go first, then the original one.
Do you have a ring bearer? If not, the extra flower girls could be ring bearers ( who says it has to be a boy!) and carry either end of a pillow, walking side by side.
What do the BM's dreses look like? How does that color compare to the color in the petals on the other girl's dress?

why not have the two girls be the hostesses and hand out the programs and whatever your using after the ceremony.... this way they dont need to match anyone else but still will be 'involved'

Sometimes older people just dont get it.. I am sure that your grandma just thought that it would be cute and I am sure that she will be happy seeing them, who cares if they dont match.. the one flower girl that you already picked will look different and I am sure people will realize that she is alittle more special to you
