I got....

The nicest presents and cards from people that work for me. I am an assistant principal and got such nice gifts and cards from teachers and paras. Some people wrote the nicest things - I was crying!!!!!

This is my 4th year as A.P and every year they do this and it just makes me feel so good and appreciated - With the hustle and bustle of the day I guess we just forget sometimes!!

How was your transition form teacher to AP? I am in grad school at NYU for Education Administration. I am going into my 7th year teaching.

I was accepted into a program from the district I was teaching in - it was a full scholarship and a full year internship so the transition wasnt that hard really

i also worked at the district office the year before i got my AP job - I was the District Coordinator for Early Childhood - I don't think it is a good idea or easy to go from classroom to admin. without having any out of classroom experience like a coach or staff developer - it is very helpful!!!

YES!! it makes everything worthwhile when you read what people write to you and the look on kids faces when they give you presents - i just love my babies!!!

aww that's so sweet, and I was so excited b/c I rec'd gifts from my bosses & some clients.. I just started w/ my company, literally just started the Monday of Thanksgiving

I can only say that I am a teacher and I appreciate all that my AP and Principal do for me and some of my close colleagues.

You must share a special relationship with these people and are probably a great role model.

You deserve the cards and kind words...AP's do so much for the students.

thanks, i do have a great relationship with the people that i supervise - i think because i know what its like to be a teacher and although the children come first and i am a huge child advocate, i help and support them as much as i can
