I haven't really been complaining about not having a job... b/c honestly... I'm so stressed I was sort of enjoying the hiatus from work. But let's face it... not having a job around the holidays and while planning not only my own wedding, but being in 2 other bridal parties as well has been a huge downer, and i've been stressed trying to figure out how I'll have the money to fully participate in the other weddings.
Well... FH's boss talked to him a few weeks ago and asked him if I would be interested in a job where I'd get to work from home. He's been trying to get me to be his office manager for over a year but his office is too far for me to get to... He's networking his office with my apartment! So i can answer the phones and access all their computers and printers from right here while chatting with all you lovely ladies all day.
He didn't tell me about this though... just FH. The boss called today to ask what kind of connection we have b/c he was out buying the equipment needed to do the networking... FH was like.... SHE GOT THE JOB?? Boss said... 'YES!!'
LoL I meet with him tomorrow to discuss pay and hours and what not. I'm sure it won't be awful pay... it probably won't be great either... but it'll be something.
Plus.... i'll sort of be in charge of FH's scheduling... so no more making him a tired miserable cranky monkey!
YAY!!
Now... ladies... please remind me how excited I am about this in a few days/weeks when I start to complain about how much I hate my job/boss

*UPDATE* I met with the owner of the company today... i was right, lol the pay suucks but I get a raise after the first month, again after the third, and should be getting a 'target salary' at six months.
We have yet to agree on what the target salary is going to be. I should be expecting a 'proposal' in my email soon though.
One of the reasons the pay isn't great is because in order to give ME the job, they have to invest money into it... new equiptment...an extra phone line... plus, it's not the type of job where there is much to do all day if you're not in the office so it wouldn't make sense for them to be paying me $18 an hour when I'm not doing anything for 2 or 3 of those hours....
I'm a little nervous because no one has held this job for more than 3 months, which is another reason my pay scale is working the way it is. He kept saying 'in case this doesn't work out' as if he already 'knows' its not going to...
I'm not sure when I'm starting, but hopefully it'll be by the New Year.

all you have to do is blow him away with what a great job you can do and prove him wrong, make yourself indispensible. with that comes more money!

well like i said, I'll be getting a raise in a month and again at 3 and 6 months. The pay isn't AWFUL especially considering i get to work from home and they are paying for all the equipment and everything... it's just not as much as i could have gotten elsewhere.
