fh and i got an apt. in syosset. renting from someone privately. im so exicted, we move in april 1. i have been commuting back and forth to li from staten island every weekend since we started dating 3 years ago! finally the traveling ends!
So anyone who lives in the area recommend good restaurants, hairdressers, nail places anything!!

i dont know the area that well. i know its a side street off of jackson ave. its walking distance to the lirr.

There is a salon, called Solo, on South Oyster Bay Road in Plainview. They do an awesome job. You can get anything from your hair done, to your nails, to a massage or facial. I used them before my wedding, the day of, and since. Plus some of my bridesmaids have gone back as well

On Jericho Tpk there is a lot of stuff... a little more east there is a salon Dakota that does hair and Nails and stuff (good diner next door too). Over there a good Italian restaurant called Buteras and in the same shopping center Laguna Grill (Mexican style salads and sandwhiches).
