I got back at my DH for being such a slob

My wonderful DH has a habit of dropping things all over our house, keys on the floor, clothes etc, makes me sooo mad.

Last night he took off his watch and his wedding band so he could go close the pool, I found his wedding band on the floor at the foot of our bed, so I took it and hid it in my armoire. About 9:30 last night I see him looking for it and I was like sweetie you looking for something? No no he said. I went to bed, I hear him go outside in the yard, come in go into all the bathrooms and all the while I'm like wellll if you put things where they belonged this wouldnt have happend.

Finally at 11:00 he comes up stairs and said Babe please dont freak out but I cant find my wedding band. I look at him and said where did you leave it? He said I thought it was on the bed. I was like Damnit cant you put things away!!! WHy do you have to be such a slob! I'm so tired of cleaning up after you like I'm your mother. With that I opened the armoire and I said I found this on the floor he looked at me like I cant believe you let me look for this and you had it all the time. I said maybe this will teach you a lesson

Awww he must have been so nervous to tell you! My DH does the same exact thing. If this works...I'll have to start hiding things too

Kudos to you stay! You should be an example for all of us on how to teach our slob husbands a lesson. Thanks for the idea! LOL

Why do they have that look when they can't find their wedding bands. I came home and as I was taking my ring off I noticed his was not in his box. So I went over to him and said where is your ring? he said he took it off to lotion his hand and left it in the truck in the cup holder.

Usually they are in the jewelry box on the dresser when they are not on our fingers, so he asked me to go out to the truck to get it. I did, but I walked back in and said, its not there, this was his face this was my face I was like good for you, now you will either keep it on your finger or in the box.

He said he did not believe me b/c he know that I would have come up the stairs screaming or I would have rung the bell He knows me too well. Good one Stace.

I don't feel like a wife, I feel like a maid. I am always picking up after DH and my kids. It never ends, Once I think I am done with the laundry, it starts all over again. I finish cleaning one room go to the next and when I come back to the original room that was clean is a mess again. I don't know how much more of it I can take!!!!!!!!!!

Kathy, my sister in law put everyone on a schedule to help, I think your kids are young but I don't think its too early to start teaching them how to pick up behind themselves. If you always do it they will come to appreciate you doing it even more. Let everyone pitch in. That is not fair to you, if you are always tired and what not, what is left for you, everyone will suffer in the end b/c there is not enough of you left to even give them your best. For Christmas get him a dresser valet so that he will have a marked place for his ring and show him how to hit the mark-lol

My husband leaves everything all over the same way and loses things. I tired to pull this little trick a few times but ended up giving in too soon. Hope he learned not to leave things around. You must of been laughing inside when he was all over the place looking for it.

Mine does the same thing - I find a trail of where he has been. And he puts his wedding band anywhere! I've hidden it too on him.

I told him, you know, we can always get a new band but this one has sentimental value obviously and has been blessed!!
