I got blessed last night!
Last night WE got blessed by the priest for a Happy Engagement ..
It was so nice..
I even got from MOM and DAD a Commitment Candel.
This is what it said inside.
The Commitment Candle is a very special item,becasue it celebrates the life of love between 2 special people.

He explained how he joined the 2 pieces of wood and cut them and molded them together and cut out 2 hearts on each side.
This is what he said.
The construction of this piece has a spiritual meaning. The 2 seperate woods represent 2 seperate lives, the gluw that bindes them together is their love for each other. The cutting, planning and molding is the adversity that each couple experiences which adds strength and oneness to their union.
Their 2 hearts as in the holder become so much one that it is hard to tell where one heart ends and the other one begins.
However, there is something added to this.
Of we 'look' closely there is a third heart, a hidden heart. This is the heart of the creator. Just as it took my desire to create the holder and my skills as a wood worker to form this piece see too the hidden heart behind each relationship is the heart of the Creator forming and fashioning each couple until they Mirror the Loving Heart of God.
Last and best of all there comes the purpose for which the holder was created . That purpose is to give light by the lighting of a candle. In the same way each relationship is to give light to the world.
Everytime people see your love, your joy, your hope, your faith , and courage to face the future with optimism and zeal these qualities give light to the world of darkness and despair. But what is more, you can use your LIGHT AS A COUPLE to actually give LIFE TO ANOTHER.
Your offspring will derive their life and light from you. It is as if you candle lights their candle and more light and more love is given to our world until finally love rules and peace flourishes.
I can't believe someone was so talented to make this and let me and ROn be a part of this.
