OMG, I remember being in this position.....enjoy it......make sure somebody has a camera and captures the first time you see each other, our picture is priceless.......it is one of my favorite pictures of us...........enjoy your time with him.....bless him and thank him for serving.

I got to talk to him yesterday morning, via instant messenger, and he was in Kuwait. So he said that he should be in the states Thursday night.
This has been our second overseas deployment (from 2003-2004 he was in Afghanistan). What a difference between the 2 deployments. I have to say that this was a pretty easy deployment. I was in constant contact with him. I got to see him a lot with the webcam. I knew communication-wise, it was going to be a lot better. I think the biggest piece of mind I got was that his job never took him out of his base with the exception of 2 times and he's been there close to a year.
I have to say when he came home in December for R/R, the first time I saw him, he picked me up at work and it wasn't emotional as I thought it would be because I saw him so often on the computer, it was like he was still upstate at Ft. Drum or at home. When he came home from Afghanistan, I went upstate to see him. When he picked me up at the train station that was sooooooooooooo emotional.
I don't know what its going to be like when I first see him on Friday, all I know is that skinny little a$$ of his never has to go back to that hot hell hole in the middle east ever again. He's finally home for good. HALLEH-FRICKIN-EULAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
