i got hurt at work

hi ladies
im typing with one hand so forgive my bad typing skills

im sitting at home today with my arm in a soft cast/ sling ...one of my classroom windows fell on my arm ...so far its fractured...might be broken...the ER doc couldnt tell from the x-rays

if it is broken...or if i cant write or use it, i could take up to 6 weeks off from workers comp
i dont know how to feel about that....i just want to get through today and tomorrow being home alone with one arm

anyone ever get hurt in school before? i dont know if id have to do plans for a sub...i coulnt write them yesterday for today

The ambulance chaser in me is here to tell you not to forget to file Workers' Comp. This is clearly an on the job injury that is compensable. I could not resist, when the thread was called, 'I got hurt at work.'

at the ER and for my appt today, all the insurance is covered by their workers comp also these last 2 days off were not from my sick days but workers comp days....if im even a little bit injured, since its my writing hand, i technically cannot teach since writing is a huge part of teaching....i will know more today

My arm is ok....just a muscle contusion. I have 2 more days off because it is still hard to move the hand around because it pulls on the muscle

im grateful that its not serious...its a very busy time of year for me at work and finishing grad school...im glad i can use my arm again
