I GOT MY DRESS!!!!! (with pics)
So I went to Lillette's today. They had the Maggie Crystelle Lynette dress that I LOVED in a size 14. (The one I posted on here a couple weeks ago) I tried on a size 8 at Village Bridal in Babylon and it was too small. But the 14 was WAAAY to big. But I got a better idea of how it would fit when they clipped it
I loved the dress... it's so different and elegant and completely my style. I tried it on like 8 times and kept going back to it- BUT, I have a big booty... and I think it makes me look even bigger on the bottom. (My mom agreed) And we CANNOT have me looking fat in pictures! So as much as I was SO sure this was going to be my dress, I decided I wanted something more flattering on me. So I tried on 2 other Maggie dresses that I had never seen before- both limited editions. And let me tell you ladies- I FELL IN LOVE!!!!! Even more so than the 1st dress, and the 2nd dress I liked.
The dress isn't really available anywhere- it's not on the Maggie website and I couldn't even find it on house of brides. But I was able to find a picture on EBAY of all places... So here are the pics!
It looks a gazillion times better in person! I tried it on with a veil with lace around the edge and I just KNEW! It's totally not the style I was planning on going with, but it just looks so great on. My mom (who was getting so sick of going back and forth with me) was like JUST ORDER IT!! So I DID!
But part of my feels really bad that I didn't order it from Village Bridal- just because I felt like they were so accommodating there and so much nicer than anywhere else I went... plus I've been there 3 times already and they know me now! But I ordered from Lillettes- they were great there too. They have a good reputation... But part of me feels guilty b/c I really liked them at Village Bridal and I wanted to give them my business!!! I almost feel like I'm cheating on them!!! haha- I know so silly. But seriously they will get recommendations from me forever!! I may still use them for my bridesmaid dresses... we found one yesterday that my girls all liked- which I will post in a new thread.
