Congrats on your dress. i wish it would take me 1 day. Where in Bklyn do you recommend going. I live in Bklyn so was hoping to find a good dress shop. is your band performing at the GC casino.? Who is your band?

Thanks Colleen!! I walked into the room as the florist was leaving after setting up for the wedding that afternoon and I knew. I just fell in-love with it!!

The GCH is gorgeous. I originally thought I was going with that specially after Bloomies had there showcase there, but Paul at the GCH told me they were going to be doing major renovations. changing the color of the carpet, taking out the skylight, etc. But he had no definitive plans as to what they were putting in. I couldn't take that chance. I loved it theway it was!

Really? Why didn't the lady who showed us around tell us that? When did you go to look at it? I wish this person would call me back, I have a TON of questions!!! We are not getting married until 9/05, so maybe it will be finished. I need to see floor plans though to make sure I like it..lol

We were there I think in April. But I don't remember the exact month. I went there 3 times. Paul said it was to be completed around March of 2004. But since I was considering Aug/Sept I didn't want to take the chance of booking it without knowiung what was going to officially change. Maybe they decided not to make any changes.

I know they made changes to one of the night clubs in the hotel. I have seen those changes and it looks great. I didn't see any construction while I was there though. Maybe she steered us away from it all. Well that is still a year and a half before the date we want, so we'll see.
