The person didn't write on it!!! I numbered them (thank g-d). I think its a friend of mine, but I only set hers out on Tuesday and she's in LI. I sent it on Tuesday - I can't believe its back today. I e-mailed her to make sure its hers.

That is so sweet that your friend is so excited about coming to your wedding that she sent it back right away and forgot to fill it out:D

O.K., this may seem like a dumb question..but what do you mean when you say you numbered the response cards? I will be picking up my envelopes from the caligrapher next week and will then start assembling my invites and I'm afraid I'm going to get RSVP's back with no names. How do I number them? Thanks Ladies

in pencil in a corner, just put the number that they are on your master list. ie:
77- mr and mrs smith, 123 dawn street, etc.

on the reply card that will go into their envelope, write 77 lightly in some corner.

that's a good idea - is it rude to just put their name in for them?

also, i have been hearing horror stories about ppl RSVPing and saying the will be extra ppl. is it bad to write the # of ppl down on the card for them? I think it can work, unless someone doesnt bring an invited guest and they forget to tell me
