I got my invitation samples (not on real paper yet) UPDATED with another sample
Original post by MrsDtoBe09
I really like the second one but I think I want a different flourish... something with a pumpkin instead. I really like the colors, what do you think?

I would leave that off the invite. It doesnt seem to fit on this invite but maybe use it somewhere else. If you want the invite to have more of a Halloween feel then you may want to change your pumpkin to a jack-o-lantern. Your invite gives me more of a fall feel not a Halloween feel.
Yeah but I want a more Halloween feel than Fall.

This is it with the Halloween wording, which I think I really like.

I really like your invitation, even with the wording added.
It just really reminds me more of thanksgiving than Halloween. The art work with the pumpkin is beautiful yet not halloween.
I am going to try to post some pics...haven't done that yet so I'm not sure if I will be successful.
Ok...so I'm not having success. I don't want to suggest going overboard with it but maybe a cobweb in the corner or a ghost would help change the feel.

I'm doing brown and orange so its hard to come across as Halloween - I didnt want to do black and orange or purple... I guess I get what you're saying but I'm pretty happy. I want the wedding to still feel like a wedding... just with Halloween touches... the invite is kind of like a minor glimpse of whats to come, if that makes sense.

I edited my previously reply. Couldn't post the pic. It really is the coloring on that one piece of clip art that makes me feel more thanksgiving. I understand what you're saying about not wanting to incorporate black. I'm sure you don't want it to be cheesy either. If it has something like a cobweb in a corner, or a faint ghost, or if you changed the artwork before the church to be something spooky...
but if you left it as is...your invite will be beautiful.
