i got my invites!! Now a question...

so they aren't atypically big or anything. I have the invite and an inner and outer envelope. My question is - can i buy regular stamps? My shower invites got sent back to my mom for not enough postage, so now i'm paranoid.

can i weigh them on the work stamp machine and determine that way how much postage I need? I want to get the stamps before putting them together. I'm clueless about this stuff. TIA!!

most wedding postage averages 58 cents but that may vary just take it to the post office they weight it 123 and tell you how much

usually you go to the post office to have them weighed, but the stamp machine at work should work just fine. Weigh it on that and see what the postage is for your invite. Definitely have to find out bc you dont want your invites to returned back to you for not enough postage

i know.... my shower invite is big and square and my mom had to put double the postage she sent them out late to begin with so that was annoying for her. I was like mom you could have just gotten a normal invite!

I'm so dumb. Of course I also have the response card and envelope, so I think it will weigh more than i thought

totally forgot about those... oh and direction cards and hotel cards too! yikes

ugh that s*cks, sorry. Yeah maybe go to the post office to weigh it so this way you can be 100% sure

you girls are right... i think i'll put a whole one together and give to fh - he is a post office wh*re because he sells everything on ebay... so we'll probably send it from that PO too.
