I Got My Wisdom Tooth Pulled Today!

I got my wisdom tooth pulled today, BUT I got off of work Tonight

how do you feel? why arent you sleeping????

I feel ok.. I took a vicadin, and now I'm feeling sleepy...

Ice! Ice! Ice! It really helps!

I had all four pulled last week and surpisingly, I did alright. Definitely keep with the ice - every 20 minutes. It helped tremendously! Feel better

( for you getting off work!)

I am an OM for an oral surgery practice.... so i deal with this daily! if you have any questions dont hesitate to ask! just make sure you are eating something substantial w/ that vicoden, it can wreak havoc on your stomach! good luck!

Thanks so much... It's hard eating with gauze in your mouth though.. I ate 2 slices of turkey breast and a little bit of a whole wheat pita...

But thanks all!!! I think I feel good b/c I don't have to go to work!!!!!

I swear.. What cops will do to get out of work!!!

lol, well you deserve a break!!! when u take the gauze out, try to eat some mashed potatoes or mac and cheese!! also, it sounds gross, but wet the gauze before u take it out so it doest remove the clot w/ it

Ok, well we know who the brave one is now!!!!!

Actually I had one pulled on the bottom left 3 years ago, then I I got brave and the following week I had 2 pulled on the right side and I got nerve damage from it.. I couldn't feel my cheek and chin for a year... You should have seen me eating.. Things would drip down my face, it was so embarrassing... The I got scared and wouldn't go back... But 3 weeks ago, the last tooth broke through and it hurt like heck! My ear and jaw have been killing me, so I HAD to go... But I went to a new DR, and he was really nice and he did it so quick and it really didn't hurt Now it's starting to hurt, but I'm happy its all over!!!!!!

hey there!!! yes you definitely shouldve stopped bleeding by now, its very normal to ooze, but active bleeding is not good. have you been spitting, rinsing or drinking through a straw??? if so, stop doing all of the above until tomorrow. also, remove the gauze, we only recommend pressure for about an hour and a half, wet a tea bag w/ warm water, bite down on it for about 10 minutes and take it out (remember to wet again before removing). the acidity in the tea will stop the bleeding, if not, do it again.


btw can i ask where you got it done???

I hope those vicodins kicked in by now and you are sleeping.
