I got some wedding stuff accomplished! FINALLY!!

First I woke up to a phone call from the jeweler. For everyone who hasn't been following - Long story short - FH proposed in Aug of 06 but since we've meet I've been telling him I wanted to design my own engagement ring. So when he proposed he just bought me a pretty ring but not an ering and he insisted on me getting a 'real' one and designing it since I had mentioned that I wanted to. Well once the pressure was on me I had no idea what I wanted lolz. I pushed it off for a while, I had a few pictures and ideas though. We went to meet the jeweler about two weeks ago but he didn't have anything that caught my eye. He got some new diamonds the other day and called FH to let him know. So today he called at 11 in the morning and said he was coming in just for us to look at it - so we had no choice but to go look lolz. I fell in love with the stone and we ended up putting all my pictures and ideas together and coming up with the perfect ring! I am so excited!! It'll be done in a week but I have no clue if FH will give it to me then

Then since we were in Wedding mode we decided to go look at another RH hall. We went into New Rochelle to see Greentree which we didn't get to see on our last trip. It's a really pretty place and the BM was really nice and really trying to work with our budget. The whole time though I had The Surf Club in the back of my mind. So when we left I deceided to stop by. I really wanted to see the beach with the sun still out because last time I didn't get to. Well I got that feeling ALL over again!! We caught the BM as he was leaving but he still took time to show us around and talk to us for a little while. He is going to work within our budget and I can't wait! We are 99% sure we are going to book. FH just wants to see one more place first but I should be booking within the next week or two!!!

Then I called a photographer and made an appt to meet with him!! He had the dates I am considering still available so I was so excited!!!

It took me long enough to get my butt in gear but I finally feel like all my researching and ideas are coming to life! It's so exciting and scary!!! lolz

Glad to see you are happily doing some wedding stuff and cant wait to see your BLING!!!!! Now everything will start falling in place.

Congrats on getting some wedding stuff done. It's like a major weight off your shoulders, right? Can't wait to see your bling! I had a custom ring and was very set on having something different. We went to the city and had my ring literally built from stone to final setting touches- it's nice to do that! I love my ring because I picked it out. You must be so excited though!

Christy that's GREAT!!!! I've been to the Surf Club, GREAT PLACE!! I don't know anything about the other place you mentioned by I am sure it's beautiful.

Thats exactly what i did..I had a few ideas of what I wanted and it was so much fun to watch it all come together! It's really a great experience in hindsight but I was so stressed out because I find all of them beautiful so I didn't think I'd ever be able to deceide on every little aspect. I can't wait to see if when it done! I hope FH doesn't keep it from me for long!

I think I was one of the first 09ers to get my dress, I had it in the middle of last summer..I knew exactly what DJ and Photographer I wanted since last summer..it was like the first things I looked for and had my heart set on but I was having such a hard time finding a hall that I was in love with and that kind of set me back and put me in a ho-hum sorta mood about the wedding..I was starting to get discouraged..but now I'm back on track!! Just get back out there..things will def. all fall into place!! Good luck!! Hey at least I motivated someone!!! I might need you to motivate me in a few weeks again if I fall back in my slump lolz.

How wonderful for you guys! Its just the best feeling in teh world everytime you walk into the place you willbe married & partying in. FH & I went to The Fox Hollow yesterday & got to look around again so I can figure out my tables & how i want them set up etc. OMG i thought I couldnt get happier everytime i walk into the Garden Terrace room. LOVE IT! So best of luck.

Isn't it great to know you made the right decision?? I was really set on Surf Club when we first went but then I didn't go back for a few weeks and I had in my head that I should see more places..etc...but when I went back yesterday I loved it even more...GREAT FEELIN!!!
