I GOT THE JOB!! (school leave replacement)

Just had to share what a long road this has been trying to get a school social work job. I was offered a leave replacement for the rest of the school year.

Yes, I am leaving my secure full time job to work in a school for 10 weeks. IM NUTS!! and scared out of my wits. Im not like this, Im a planner, by the books type gal. Im going to lose some sleep, but I cant wait to get back to working with kids!!!

I am so excited. I know its risky with $$, but in the end, for my career, its the best decision. I just got my employment package and just got fingerprinted. I start after the easter break.

Congrats! THat's awesome!! WHat district?? As some of you know, I gave up a cushy Asst Dean's job at Hofstra to take two short term guidance leaves at Freeport High School - G-d only knows what will happen in the fall - but I have already begun interviewing for positions and I keep my fingers crossed - I know EXACTLY what you are going through - we need to take these chances in education!!
