I got the most amazing generous x-mas gift from FI granfather!

With 3 months to go untill the wedding FI and I have been stressing over money because it looked like we were going to come up short.. Well FI gramps gave us each a check for $4,000... I nearly fell to the floor when I opened the card.. This man is the most generous man I have ever met in my life..it is the best gift I have ever recieved.. not just the monetary side of it but What a relief that FI and I can know enjoy the last three months of our planning... I was crying in front of his whole family and they were all laughing at me I was so overwhelmed with joy I couldn't control myself... I just had to share this with you ladies because I am just sooo happy

How wonderful for you both. I'm sure he's happy to see you & you FI so happy. You're lucky to have such a great Grandpa.

Wow - that is beautiful. I am really happy for you. Planning a wedding is difficult, especially when you are paying for it with little or no help.

I am sure your emotions were well-received.

That is wonderful & VERY sweet of him!

My IL's are like that & helped us out alot with several checks. We would have been in serious debt without their 'gifts'. It is a great feeling to know that you'll be able tover everthing.

That is soooo sweet of Grandpa. Make sure you cherish that man. He must have a great heart to understand the stress that you both must have been going through!
