my friend at my office just got engaged like two weeks ago. i told her to join the site she said 'no' because she is not from li. she is from staten island. i am trying to convince her. help me in getting her to join.... she would love this
site.

Tell her that there is a NYC version at nycityweddings.com. It's basically the same exact thing just in a different color and different vendors.

Tell her it doesn't really matter where she lives, or even where she gets married. We're all B2B, or newlyweds, and we're here to help! I'm from White Plains and getting married in LI, there are LI brides getting married in Westchester, Queens brides, Staten Island brides, etc...

Honestly, although FI and I are from the Island, the wedding is such a NYC wedding and yet I do not know what I would do without you guys. You are a sounding board, there for great advice and can totally relate. I feel like I have already made real friends on the 05 board and at the very least have become acquainted with people I certainly want to know. Join, not for the particular details (not one of my vendors is LI) but for the camraderie.
