so we met with our photographer yesterday to go back over our pictures- he asked me to narrow it down to 250 before we got there and that wed do it from there- i thought that would be easy- jokes on me apparently- we got down to 200 and i thought i was going to cry if we took another picture away
he sent me home with 198 pictures that we narrowed it down too and told me to continue to pull them away
our pkg is for 50 pictures it never crossed my mind how little that is for the whole day and the upgrade fees are pretty high to add the extra 150 pictures that im over
so heres what im debating---do i ugpgrade it and get all the pictures i loveeeeeeee or narrow it down and keep the extra money ( which isnt pennies, were talking about an extra 150 pictures)
how often do you really look at your albums?
on the flip side- how do you find 50 pictures to tell the story of your wedding day??
do i spend the extra money or will i kck myself in my butt??

Do you have rights to all the pictures? If so just do the 50 through them and do a snapfish album book. Plus those are easier to carry around to show off all your fabulous pictures!!!!

do you get the digital images on a disk? I would pic the 50 that you want then take the disk home and print them on shutterfly or something!

On your contract did you have them write that you have rights to all pictures. Not that they have to print them but are they giving you a disk with all the pics on them without their logo or marks?

I would make your album of 50 pictures, then make your own with the rest

Hm, I'd get him to make you the 50 page album, but then make sure you still get all of your other pictures - including the edited ones so that you can make your own albums, print them out, etc.

Have you talked to the NWs at all?
50 pics is pretty average for a photo album...I know its prob hard but its do-able
I would not pay 2k for extra pics...but maybe compromise and add a few more, depending on what you feel comfortable paying
can you weed out some pics? can you separate the pics into piles...ceremony , bridal party, you and FH
and narrow it down to your absolute favorites...like your top 2 fave of your BP...your top 4 faves of ceremony etc.?
and Id def look into making an album, ask the NWs I know some girls made their own via online sites...maybe you can make your own with all 150 pics that you love
