I had a busy day today

Since I got my marriage license in the mail yesterday I went to the bank and changed all of my accounts and I got my first debit cards with my married name on them! I also went to DMV to change my drivers license AND I went to the SS Office to change my last name. Ahhhh, I'm not even married two weeks and I'm almost done with everything that I need to change. Yay!

That's so awesome!!! I'm dreading this...mainly because I know everything is going to get misspelled! Was the process easy, or just annoying?

Well, I was at the bank a while. Only bc DH works at the bank and he wasn't allowed to switch all the accounts himself. So, I had to wait for someone else to switch them.
DMV, honestly, I was in and out in under 30 mins. I had pre-filled out the forms and all I had to do was wait. It costs $10 to change your name with the DMV and you get your new license in 2 weeks. I highly suggest the Port Jeff office. There was nobody there.
SS Office, well, that was a different story. I had to go to Patchogue. Everyone and their mother was there. I had to wait almost 2 hours to be seen by someone. But after that, it was quick. Again, I had pre-filled all my paperwork out so, it was smooth sailing.
Both the DMV and SS make you double check all documents and you have to sign off on them making sure that everything is spelt correctly. So, you should have no worries there.
