Seriously... Why does it take long to get pregnant? If there is nothing wrong with either person, and you time everything perfectly (as perfectly as we can), why doesn't everyone get pregnant that first time? What goes wrong?

I've always said that just as easy as it is to get pregnant. It's also twice as hard. Just be patient & don't stress over it!!

Melissa- when you consider how many things have to fall into place it is a wonder that anyone ever gets pregnant at all. 80% of healthy couples get pg. within the first year of timed trying. So keep up with your charting and it will happen.

Melissa, when you really think about how intricate the process is, you can see that it's not as easy as your high school hygiene teacher led you to believe!! Think about the miracle of absolutely perfect timing it takes for a baby to be created!
I KNOW how frustrating it can be when you want to get pg right away, but believe me, when the time is right I truly believe it will happen. Very few people actually get pregnant with the first couple of tries. And stressing about it definitely won't help.
Just relax, enjoy this special time with your husband, and before you know it one day you will look at that line on the stick and be flooded not only with happiness but a bit of panic! It will come in its own time!! Took me 9 months of trying, but here I am just a few weeks away from finally holding my baby in my arms!! Believe me, it will be worth whatever wait you may have. And in the meantime, enjoy your 'free' time - do all the things you want to do as a couple and create wonderful pre-baby memories for yourselves!!
