I had my first dress fitting

Overall, not the best experience I've had... The dress was HUGE - which I guess is a good thing, but I knew this was going to happen (they ordered me double the size I normally wear). So, I think b/c the dress was SO BIG it changed the shape of it. She did a fitting and took in the sides and the hem. There just seemed to be so much material!!! I never wanted a big dress- b/c I just didn't feel comfortable in them.... Not to mention the woman doing the fitting, who happens to be the owner, was very quiet... not necessarily mean, just not into talking to me and my 50 questions (hey I'm only a bride once and if I want to ask 50 questions about my dress that I just spent a lot of $$ on- listen to me!!!!!!!!!!!! Bridezilla a bit, but I really think that wedding vendors should be so nice to the bride & groom...) Also, she did a French Bustle (my dress has an a-symetrical line and this is what she said looked best). Well, it looked like SH*&^T !!! She said she'll play around with this...

Anyway, I have another fitting in 3 weeks. They will do all these alterations & we'll see how it is. YAY for me that I lost weight- I just wish that the dress complimented it.

SO, no pics b/c I was just too disappointed with it. However, my shoes were great & brought my DOJ too (tried it all on- lol) and love how that all looks. Hopefully the alterations are done well and the dress fits/ feels like how I hoped it would/ how I remember from the sample....

Will report back & hopefully have some pics in March...

Aww Linda, how disappointing. I wish it would have been a better experience for you. Maybe you will be surprised next time. Try to keep optomistic!

Sorry to hear that. I'm sure this happens all the time as FB's usually try to drop a few lbs!! So i'm sure they will alter it to perfection!! Good luck!!

Hi Lynda!

I'm sure they will do there alteration thing and your dress will end up looking fab!

I am also afraid my dress will be big b/c they made me order the bigger size too.

I guess it's better big than small!

Awww I'm sorry you were disappointed. My instinct is to say better too big than too small (mine is very tight) but I do understand that neither is ideal. It will all work out though in the end and you will look beautiful. Not just humoring you, the dress shop will fix the dress and it will be perfect.
