and the dress is a bit snug around the waist, which is very noticable in the pictures. so i have to try to lose like 10 lbs before my next fitting which is in 4 weeks. the dress is huge in the chest of course!
i am so sad. i have been going to the gym faithfully but i guess i am not doing a good job watching what i eat. the seamstress said that she would prefer not to let the sides out b/c then the seams will show and throw off the beading on the dress. so she gently recommended that i try to lose some weight. she was actually very nice and helpful.
any suggestions?

Re: I had my first fitting tonite...
my dress was too tight too. In the back , which was weird. I can't be sure I'll loose weight in that area, so she is letting it out. She seems to think there is enough fabric to do it. That was 2 weeks ago. My 2nd fitting is tuesday. I started Slimfast today. The new granola bars. they have soups & mac & cheese now too. basically a meal is 220 caqlories. You can replicate that with soup or high fiber cereal on your own.
they reccomend friut & a 'meal' for breakfast, fruit or a snack bar for a snack & another 'meal' for lunch & a 'sensible dinner' my senseible dinner wasn't so sensible tonight.
so check the calorie coutn on the snack bar & substitute your own food.
Also, little things like limiting salt & caffeine will help with water retention, which will help as a litle extra boost.
Up your cardio. Switch your cardio routine around- try intervals if you don't already.
Good luck! Don't worry, you'll be a beautiful bride no mattter what!

Re: I had my first fitting tonite...
Try sticking w/ actual food. - w/ slimfast you don't feel like your 'eating' all day so your 'sensible' dinner can turn into whatever you can grab in the next 2 hours !!! If you can stick to the first 2 weeks of the South Beach diet you'll be fine. you're not COMPLETELY cutting carbs so it's not like you'll gain 10 lbs if you eat a cookie you know ?? Also, don't be so hard on yourself, you may not be losing your waist b/c of all of the working out you're doing. - Can you ask a trainer to show you something to tone and slim you waist ? Maybe you're putting a little TOO much weight on the machines ??

I think with low carb diets you tend to lose the weight in your stomach first, so that may be your best best for the next month.
Dont stress though - look for corsets, I am sure it looks beautiful!!
