I had my menu meeting redone last night at the Swan Club...
First of all, let me state that this was MY experience and I was not happy with how my original menu meeting went due to MY personal experience.
My first meeting was with Edgar who is new to SC and because Paul wanted to change rooms, Edgar was just given the Camelot Room (the largest room) as his official wedding duty when he joined the staff....long story short, Edgar and I did not mesh well....huge personality conflict and I just didn't appreciate someone telling me how to have my wedding even when I insisted on knowing all of my options, he refused to give me my options and wrote down what he wanted instead. Some girls might love him....I requested to have Paul back....
I show up yesterday for my meeting with Paul to go over the menu to look for any mistakes AND to be told all my options on other items again...and I made changes...anyway...
Paul walks up, smile on his face and says: How's your day been? Are you ready? Let's step into 'your room.' By the way, thanks for making me feel wanted [for REQUESTING him to do our wedding], it makes me feel so good to be requested like that.
WOW. When I met with Edgar, no smile, not even a hand shake!
Paul explained the whole menu again, went over everything, made suggestions, explained the difference in some of the choices and thoroughly explained the dessert choices. He then went over the floor plan, the morning of routine, the things he'll be doing after the ceremony for us, seemed organized, explained how he needed info sheets filled out and finally, made me feel comfortable.
He's just the nicest guy and I love working with him. He is younger, which might make me like him more...because we're a younger couple. He also finds a way to make you feel at ease, tells you stories....laughs at your jokes...I know it might cause an uproar, but if you are looking to book the Swan Club, you better hope you get Paul (I am not sure which room he does now, but I know it's not the Camelot Room....the LARGE room...)!!!
I just have to say that Paul is the greatest to work with (next is Michael...both are exceptional) and I highly reccomend him and the Swan Club to all future Swannies!!! Honestly, if I had been stuck with Edgar, I might have risked the deposit and found another hall and bought new invitations. He made the experience that miserable.
And in other news, we are the ONLY wedding that day. There is a surprise party that afternoon....but hey, we're the ONLY wedding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
