I had my shower this weekend!!

I was thinking that it was going to my shower this weekend, but on the day I had decided that it wasn't going to happen. We were supposed to be going to my friend's family picnic, but on the way to pick up another friend, we drove past my friends street. She lives in a cul de sac, and iu can see her driveway, and her mom's big van, that she takes everywhere was in teh drive way, so I knew somehting was up, and there was no picnic. So on the way there, I knew what was up. SO when we pulled up to pick up my friend, and had to go in to get her, I jumped out of the car and ran in.

I had a great time, saw a lot of my family and friends. It was a beautiful day out, and I had a great time.

The one thing that was upseting was that my FH's mother is sick so she couldn't come, and his sister, a BM never came. SHe had a test during the dya, and then 'claimed' she was sick, but then left a message at 6:30 saying it was a busy weekend, and she had a test, and that she had more studying to do. But she told her mom she had a migraine and a toothache. So no one in his fmaily was there. My FH was so upset about this, since he does not have a large family.

I got so may great gifts, and my bridal party and my mom did such a great job at keeping things a secret, since I pick up on everything, and they put so much work into everything. It just stinks that his sister who I asked to be in the BP for him had to put a mar on the day, but I am trying not to let such a moron upset me.

I have no pics yet, since no one brought my digital camera.

BTW- I was at Mama Leonroas Last night. I took my MOH there for her first time. She said it was awesome!! She finished her whole plate!!

Congrats - sorry about FH's family. Maybe FSIL felt awkward being that only one from FH's family there? I know I don't really feel comfortable going to showers and things for FH's family beause I'm not really 'in' with them, and if he's not there, I have no one to talk to. Maybe she felt similarly? I don't know, just trying to think of why she'd back out last minute...
