Photo and Video was soooo expensive!!! Would you ladies mind sharing about how much you spent and what it included? If you dont wanna post you can FM me....im starting to think I am never going to be able to afford ALL of this!!

$5300 and we basically got the biggest photo package duet has to offer with all the works

AHH Ladies these prices are scary!!!! Some of them are half of what i am spending on a venue!!

Is is impossible to get photo and video for like 2,000 to 3,000 total? I dont want my pics to look like anyone could have taken them.....oh man

my photo is like 2300 or something like that.

i have a few flip cams, im thinking of maybe putting one on each table or something

My best friend is filming our ceremony for me on my flip video.

And yes, our total photo bill is just less than half of what our venue cost will be. Scary. But the photos are what you have forever! And I'd rather have good ones then regret it, and not invite a few people

We did it. Our photographer was fabulous and around $2k I believe. We had two photographers, epics, an ephoto album, wedding album, and all the rights to our photos as well as copies on high-res and low-res DVDs included. I made our own parent albums (you can see one example in my album) separately and they were only $35 and $65 (one was higher quality than the other). I got our own enlargements done at Wolf Camera since we had the rights to all our photos immediately after the wedding. The album our photographer made us is gorgeous. He does amazing work, as did his second photographer.

I did video separately with a friend our photographer recommended and it was only $800 total and included 6 copies of our DVD. Basic editing (which included splitting the video up into very nice separate parts so it's super easy to skip around and watch the part you want). We've watched it several times already with various family and really love it.

So in total, we paid under $3k and got everything we wanted and fabulous quality. Definitely possible. Our photographer was Brian Calabrese and I'd recommend him in a heartbeat. Truly a wonderful person to work with and a fabulous photographer. His second photographer was Joe Sanfilippo who is also an LI photographer and wonderfully creative and a great person to work with. Neither are very well known on this site (it was DH's job to find a photographer since he's an amateur photog himself) but they were absolutely terrific. Brian had many different options in different price ranges. I actually think our package was closer to only $1500, but it may have included a discount since we booked within 6 months of our wedding on a day he happened to be free. But it's worth asking! Good luck planning!

Photo & Video is RIDICULOUS!!!!

it is the most expensive vendor... yes i do realize they are important because it is the memory capture of the day... but dammmmm!

i got a quote for photos/video/ no parent albums from duet for $4600 - which was way over my budget....

light house offered the same package for $3600 - i just wasn't feelin them!

Im going to meet with Thomas Paul next week and praying it works out and we book him!
