I'm up here visiting my family, so I've been using Bally to work out (my sister is a member).
UGH - long lines for cardio, long lines for machines, long lines for PARKING. It was the same at the Bally I went to yesterday (Queens - toaday I was in Lynbrook). I've also been to the one down by my house in Maryland (same thing with the crowding). Thankfully I belong to a local gym where it's always quiet....
And don't even get me started on the juiced-up meatheads grunting and groaning all over the free weights....
Honestly - why do people pay so much $$$ to have to wait?
Sorry - just had to vent

Re: I hate Bally....
I agree with you, first of all it is so hard to even get motivated to stay and keep fit, yet along you have to wait your turn to use machines!!!!!!!!!!
That is crazy. I guess, I should be grateful in the working out aspect of having a gym in my basement at work. But, it is so hard to get downstairs. Right now, I am taking swimming classes, and I absolutely love it. I am now more lean and sculpt then before.
