I cant decide what to do for favors...i want something edible or something to drink like wine...i feel like favors are such a waste of money so i want to give something that people will use and not just toss to the side when they get home....or maybe no favors at all and just a donation

we are such twins
I decided on bowls that I got for under 3 dollars a piece on clearance at Lenox....they are a cute candy dish
I wanted to do umbrellas since I am getting married in April [April Showers LOL] But I was voted out [my bride vote didn't count]
I also wanted to decks of playing cards for each person [FH and I use to play poker in his kitchen just the 2 of us every friday night when we first started dating]
I also looked on the Stumps website at prom favors to get an idea for a photo album or frame
Don't stress it because one day you will walk into a store like I did and it will hit you in the face.

I totally agree with you!!!!!!! im def doing something edible. I was given contact info for A Fresh Approach-- she makes truffles and she told me her favor prices ranges from $1 -15$ so if you want her contact let me know.
another option I was considering was personalized M&M's they are great! you can pictures, messages anything you want in your wedding colors! check their website.

we are doing donations. If you want do a donation and give something related to the cause with it. I saw in a mag to give pink ribbon candy with breast cancer donations or for ASPCA give out dog bone shaped candy.

FH & i couldnt decide on favors, so we went with donations to the alzhiemers association and they are giving us those little purple bracelets for each guest.

ITA ir is a waste I am doing a donation. I remember leaving a wedding in July and I threw the favor in the garbage before I entered my house...it is a waste and I am not a junk collector. :-/

I totally agree, no one does favors anymore. Everyone does donations. I love the favor idea and FH and I decided we are doing it. But if you don't, no one will miss it.

Donations are always a good idea and a good cause, we def want to do it, but we also are gonna do photobooth as favors so guests can take pics and take home, we'll have copies of those pics as well
