I hate Fortunoff

So, my shower invites have been out for a week and my mom keeps getting calls that things are backordered on my registry. For instance, yesterday my bedding was fine, now it's not available until May. My flatware was fine, now it's not available until June! My wine fridge was one price and now it's another!!!

Things change from day to day- price, date item is available, things are 'missing! It is soooo annoying. I keep moving things to my BBB registry instead but I am probably confusing all my guests!

i'm with you- last week my china was discontinued and no one informed me- the rude lady at fortunoffs told me that I should have known W T F

I know exactly how you feel. I am constantly checking my Fortunoff registry and moving things around, from there to BBB, or just switching things to items that ARE available. I think I got scr*wed with my luggage because of it. A few people wanted to buy it but told my mom that it wasn't available until May (and although it's a surprise, I know my shower is before that). So when I went to change it to luggage that was available it was too late because those people already bought something else (since not everyone will buy that for you since it's $$$). And now no one is touching it! Same goes for my china, it's backordered until God knows when, so all of the extra pieces that my mom left for others to buy, I won't be getting. I'll just have to buy it myself later, but it's just so frustrating!!

I'm in your boat! They have no sympathy. Now my shower is in a month and I feel like they are going to screw me. I wish I pulled my registry before the invites went out.

Also, some items say backordered online and they are available in the store and some are available online that are not carried in the store!!!

I have the managers number at my house after I put in a complaint online someone from the store contacted me...I will check for the number when I get home and email it to you call and give them hell!!!

do people see that the item is discontinued or backordered when viewing your registry online? I registered there but haven't gotten any notifications yet... and I'm not supposed to go on and look at it...

i am so sorry you are going through this! I noticed this last week, so i just mored everything to BBB and deleted everything from my fortunoff reg

I'm right there with you. I have slowly but surely switiching things over to BBB. I still have some time before my shower will happen, but I am nervous about how things keep frequently changing.

Yes, people can see that they are backordered. The discontinued items just seem to have disappeared off the registry. I did not receive any notifications. I found out things were this way because people have started purchasing things for my shower. I would at least let your mom or bridal party know so that they can check for you.

I think you are doing a wise thing...move things to BBB - and i dont think ull confuse them too much - theyll get the hint to go to another registry. Im sure they know its for a good reason and u can all have a laugh about it at your shower!

but my sister called me today and said ALOT of stuff at BBB had to be ordered and wasnt in stock. And that it had to be ordered. Soooo who knows if BBB is any better

Also the guy told my sister the towels are Discontinued wich is odd, because someone just bought me them last week, and it does not say it on the webite

I kept getting discontinued notices everyday which was annoying so I moved my stuff over to Bloomingdales. No issues yet

I found the same things happening with my registry. I don't understand why on earth some of these items take three months to get in but the price change pissed me off. My everyday water glasses went from $9.99 to 12.99. Big different when your asking for twelve of them.

i posted about the special order problem the other day. someone replied that since they are going through all that financial stuf they arent keeping stock and are just ordering as needed until they figure out what is going on.

I have plenty of time so i decided not to take any chances and just moved it all the BBB

I know tell me about it. they told me i had nothing to worry about and that everything will be fine. i'm getting pissed also i don't know when my shower is but they haven't called me about anything that changed on my registry. i'm so annoyed.
