B!tches. I am planning my company holiday party. I sent out emails, asking for suggestions, then opinions, etc. I planned it at The Nutty in Bay Shore- fun. Live music, bar atmosphere. Out of all my emails received, this was teh general concensus. Grouchy middle aged recepptionist (who runs with her whole crowd of grouchies, who hate my crowd of friends, and call us 'the skinny girls', like that's supposed to be an insult), sends me an email this morning. The day my final RSVPs are DUE. She tells me that I should keep in mind that it is not an appropriate venue for all age groups, and that it's too loud. That Holiday parties should be subdued. So I told her- that's fine, you should have chimed in while I was in the planning process. Now, I am in the confirmation process, and it's now too late.
I should have told her that a kknitting circle would have appealed to her lame @ss, but no young people would go. UGH! Sorry, I don't want to throw a holiday party where we all just sit around at tables and talk. because I don't LIKE you people!

Oh god.. I have a few of those in my office. Holiday parties should be subdued?? Obviously she has never been to a holiday party at my company.

Some people are just never happy!!!!
We have our Holiday Party at the Smithtown Sheraton. It has an open bar and we get a DJ for the younger crowd, but then the oldies can just sit and be more subdued at a table. Actually some of them get up and dance too, it's quite amusing!! I know it's too late now but it's an idea for next year!!!

Yeah- that's exactly the kind of things we couldnt afford. My multi billion dollar, world wide company granted us $35 a head.
