I hate group work!!!!!!(vent)

Ok- those of you that are still students will understand-
To make a long story short, we had a group paper to write, I got stuck putting the whole thing together(100 times more work than anyone else), plus my part of the paper- it is due wed, and I have not received two of the four parts needed to complete it. The parts that I did recieve were awful, and i have to rewrite them anyway because we all get the same grade.
I told the group to email it to me no later than saturday, so i could do it on sunday since I won't have time mon and tue. I HAVE NOT GOTTEN IT YET!!! I WANT TO KILL SOMEONE!!!

haha do we go to the same school or something?? our group has a huge 60+ page paper due thursday and im the one putting it together. luckil someone else did all the proofreading - but we decided to presnt the paper in a magazine format so guess who spent all day doing that yesterday!

try calling them (or stalking them!) if you don't get them soon.

sorry to hear that. I HATED working in groups. The same thing would happen to me. I would get stuck doing EVERYTHING, because no one could get together the same days/times.

How can you give a fair grade on that.

I need luck! I am not calling anymore- I have so had it. I am giving them until tomorrow morning. If I do not get it, I am writing it myself and telling them to go f@#$ themselves. I will tell the professor that 2 grad school students could not get there crap together and I think it unfair that we get the same grade.
One of the girls used the excuse that she has no computer- can you imagine? I drew her a map up the escalator to the computer lab she must not have known existed.

sunny...I would think that the professor would take that into consideration....

sorry you have to deal with lazy people...what are they going to do when they have to work with people in-- an office??!!

OMg-I Hated that when I was in college---I used to do all the work because I wanted to make sure it got done correctly and well--I usually got stuck with the slackers in my group--if it was ever really bad-I used to complain to the professor and get something out of it! LOL hahah

I hate when that happens ! Im very anal about doing papers, so I could never work in groups (unless I had to) but I would never choose to.

Funny, I am worker on a big research paper right now (and got sidetracked by LIW ).
My professor gave us the option of doing it in groups since its so much work...and he said
'BUT I DONT WANT TO HEAR ANYTHING about who didnt do what' HE kinda hinted that he would NOT do it in a group, but we did have the option.

Sorry you have to go through this. See if you can mention it to the professor. and you should definately say something to the group members.
