I hate having divorced parents!!!

UGH, I need to vent.
Thanksgiving and Christmas my dad went to my stepmothers family in PA (he lives here in NY). His choice, fine, whatever. SHe always comes first, i'm learning to deal with that.
My mom was in PA because she really doesn't have the $$ to travel here and my stepfather is a little disabled. (He has problems because of diabetes).
So now my dad mentioned us going to see him in the city for New Years, then my mom gives me a guilt trip about seeing her for New Years. So we gave in to my mom since we see her less than my dad, and haven't seen her since Sept. And now my DAD is giving me a guilt trip about not seeing us for New Years. Hey, you could have come to my house for Christmas, but you chose not to. I know I probably shouldn't feel bad since I never come first in his life (and never have), but I just do. No matter what I do, someone will be unhappy.
UGH!!!

I just want to move far away so I can have an excuse to not see ANYONE!!!!

we both have divorced parents and it drives us crazy during the holidays. We are running around ALL THE TIME, so nobody is left out..

I feel your pain-- I think that sometimes divorced parents don't always realize what we have to go through during holidays and want us all to themselves, forgetting that they have to 'share' us.
