I hate having to deal with mortgages (long vent...sorry)

Heres the problem. I have a pre-approval from FHA but the payment is ridiculous, because of points, fees, etc. I called my bank and they gave me a pre-approval but I have to come up with $9500.00 more. I called my lawyers mtge person and she can get us into something less than the FHA but more than the bank and we dont need to come up with anymore $$. My FI wants to borrow $$ from his sister (who hates me) and I wont do it. She is the type who will want to call the shots for my wedding or house and will always throw this up in my face. We can pay her back the day we close but that wont matter. My FI is upset with me for shopping around but I feel why not. BTW, we only got the contracts today and will be sent back on Mon. I told him that I want to go with the mtge person who my lawyer recommended and thats it. Am I wrong for not wantting to borrow money from her (she is the only possible person)? I tried to tell him since we are taking out money (from investments) that we have to pay back we have to add that to the mtge the bank is giving us, so its not as big a savings as it seems. Thanks for letting me vent.

I say why not look at a mortgage broker...the worst that happens is that you don't get a better deal...
