I hate head hunters

Yet I am going to see one today. In the past all I ever had from head hunters is aggrivation.

headhunter 1 sent me on an interview at the end of October and I never heard from her again. I called her at least once a week to follow up and she would ignore me or give me some BS excuse. Finally I called her and told her off

headhunter 2 works in an office the size of a closet and he told me off becaue I would call him once a week (he kept telling me he was faxing my resume to people and I would call to follow up)

Headhunter 3 calls me and yells at me over the phone and told me to lie on my resume or else I'll never get a job

Headhunter 4+ takes longer to get there then talking to them, give them my resume, fill out a card and never hear from them again.

Its like whatelse do I have to do today, but still that time that I am using to travel to them, see them, come home could be times I am sending out my resume to companies or possibly going on interviews with companies.

I hate headhunters and I am stalling at home figuring the time will go slow and I dont have to go.

thanks...i am still here posting..i should be leaving at 10 but i havent even jumped in the shower yet.

so you can tell i really dont want to go, but the person was really nice and i was suppose to go on friday and with all the mess that happened friday morning she was really nice and understanding and rescheduled.

I feel like a 6 year old who doesnt want to go to school.

I think I have a tummy ache....

OMG!! sounds like every experience i have ever had... I go ALL the way into the city to meet with one (because on the phone he says i HAVE to go down) then i get there and he tells me to fill out this application, then after i do that he says he doesnt have anything for me but hell call me.

Another headhunter says come to office, i get there and they ask for my social and a major CC and im like FOR WHAT??? they are like well we are a temp agency, and i said im looking for a full time position..

So they say ok and i meet with the lady ,and she calls me a week later to say she found a great job from me, and that shell call me with interview date and time, NEVER EVER HEARD FROM HER AGAIN!

I totaly WILL NOT go to head hunters again!.. I actually got this job by going to a job fair!! Most of the jobs at job fairs are sales, but i lucked out!!! im 8minutes from home.. i can go home for lunch. my boss is TERRIFIC!!! she lets me off WHENEVER i want!!! I get to be on here ALL DAY!! LOL

I suggest going to job fairs...

I HATE headhunters The last time I was job-hunting, I would ssay 'I REALLY cant come into the city...blah blah' and some of them would still send me on interviews without having ever met me. I went through so many of those SAME EXACT experiences as you, that I refused to continue to do that! If they want you bad enough, they will make it work ! Sorry youre going through this !

Doyou have a local Employment Center ? (Dept of Labor?) I am near the Hauppauge one, and they pretty much have counselors that help you find work, fix up your resume, they have services:fax, copiers, phones, computers, etc. ALL FREE and you can go and come as you please.
Try that.

I went to a job fair at jacob javits center OMG what a zoo. there had to be thousands of people. after a while they stopped letting people in because it was so crowded.

i really didnt get to see everyone and i got so overwhelmed and of course the pushing and shoving i went home.

Wacky still here...the water is running though

Are you close or in nassau? There is an employment office in freeport.. and they always have jobs on the bulletin board..

(i go to the smaller job fairs, like at hotels and stuff.. this job i got through the one at the marriot hotel.. there was NO ONE there!! LOL.. and i always go at the END of the fair...less crowded, and i think they remember you best that way)

Ouch, I won't tell you that I used to be a head hunter!
