No, you're not. I used to waitress part time, and I found the more money people had/made, the worse tippers they were.

The rich usually don't spend their money thats why they are rich!

i know!!!
And I always say - Oh they were cheap I'll be cheap when it comes to gifts for them or their children... But I can't! I go overboard anyways!

I think ultimately what comes around goes around.

or is it what goes around comes around ??

i know any my poor sister - she waitresses also (2nd job) and shes like some of these ppl are unbelievable. To leave $1 or $3 --- they sit there for 2 hrs taking up her tables!!!
Grrr

I also hate the opposite, when someone is SUPER cheap but then expects insane gifts for themselves and their children. I have one of those in my family and it drives me nuts. So I say the same thing, I'll be cheap right back, but I never can because that's just not me. I always go overboard. If the person didn't constantly talk about money it would be one thing, but they do and then are CRAZY cheap on top of it all!

I knwo thats exactly how I feel!!!!
I guess there is always one in the family!

but i just cant understand this:
my one friend is chipping in more for a gift for my shower then my aunt and her 2 daughters who are in my wedding party (and they're loaded)

~~~
I'm not a gold digger and I don't think that money is everything but certain things just piss me off and i needed to vent!
Thanks
FH and I have a friend like this.
When she was jobless for months she would call my fiance, then b/f on his day off and ask to hang since she was off. This always led to FH buying her lunch and then she magically scampered away. I squashed it. I am such a biznitch fer sure.
She has parties for her birthday and gets a limo and tells people they have to pay their share to ride, which is always enough to keep her from paying but still getting HER LIMO.
At our enagagement party she ditched her b/f and asked her twin, which FH and I loath, to be her date so she would be there to see all her 'homies' and we told her she couldn't bring her because she was an evil tw@t.
Seriously, my BF threw us a very nice e party that cost her a nice chunk of change. This 'good friend' gave us a check for 25$.
We wrote the most horrendous and sarcastic ( in our minds ) thank you note.
' Dear Friend,
Thank you so much for your generous gift. Really, it was far too much. You have always been such a dear friend to us. We can't wait to share our big day with you!'
No I totally agree... it's just frustrating when you're overly generous to some and they can be so cheap right back! Hey at least you can sleep with a clear head knowing you try hard for others, I don't know that they can do the same!
I LOVE people like that! It must be tough being them, always conniving and trying to get one over, yet they come out looking like the biggest a$$!! I'm sure she'll get far in life!
