eww - and they knew you were planning a LI wedding and are (well originally?) a LI girl?!? And to say something about LI parents - awful! that is just crass and rude - they can think what they want about LIers but they are the ones who need a lesson in tact!
Honestly I love being a LIer and I could care less what everyone else 'assumes' about me.

THat is so rude I mean I'm from queens and have friends and family that live in LI I joke around with them. I love LI its so nice I am hoping to buy a house in LI after we are married. Where were they from? I wouldn't of been able to stay quiet I would of had to say something I give you credit

Yes she knew I was from LI and he fiance is from LI too
comments were as such, well you know those overbearing LI mothers...

she also proceeded to tell me that I ordered my dress too early, she knows better after 3 sisters got married
oh the comments went on and on....and I bit my tongue and repeated FH works with her..be kind...I sat and ate my sushi while she babbled

I always hate when people from here bash Brooklyn!! They always assume I should have the accent and that I must have been raised in Bensonhurst or Bay Ridge!!
Ugh the fact that she knew you were from LI just makes her that much more unattractive. She's probably just jealous of your wedding plans!!!
