I hate my.....

I hate my.....

JOB ....I am a CPA and I am in florida right now for a client. I am going to be here for 2 weeks, and this week alone already (monday-thursday) I have worked 55 hours, usually 8:30 - midnight

Tax season *****...thanks for letting me vent !!!

I'm a CPA also, but in audit. I'm still at work and it *****. Just think, only a few more months till it's over. I do however love my job and I'm on a Corporate team, so always based in NY.

I can't believed you braved a spring wedding, i knew the only chance i had to get married was Fall, cause I'll have the summer to prepare.

Yeah, I planned my whole wedding pretty much in like 2-3 months. I just have some small stuff to take care of. I am so looking forward to April 15th....for more than one reason

My FI is an accountant and I HATE tax season! I never see him. So even though I am not an accountant, I can relate in some way. Just think of the great reward after tax season....your wedding and honeymoon!

Hopefully, that thought will get you through the next few months of h*ll.

Hi Girls..

I'm an auditor too..and I'm at work on a Saturday..will also be coming in on Sunday and Monday too, even though thats technically firm holiday. I told my friends that I was working this weekend and then said, 'aren't accountants suppose to have really cushy hours, like 9-5'? HAHAHAHAHA...not in a public accounting firm...

2 of my friends work at KPMG and Ernst & Young, lately they've been working crazy hours also.

They've been getting home at 10 or 11pm.

I work for Deloitte...my client right now is in Jersey City, and I live in queens. For the past week, with the exception of Friday, I've been getting home after 11. I'm going to be so happy once March hits. We still need to find a DJ and officiant..left the DJ up to FH..of course he hasn't done anything yet...

its really hard during this time working for big accounting firms.... especially the big 4.. but then again theres pros and cons working for any company.

Time will go by fast though.. before you know it March will be here ..

A Misconception that March decrease the hours Unfortunately, most hours are based on deadline and Company's year end

I'm a CPA also. I don't mind tax season, I make LOTS of extra money! I look it as - every extra hour I work that's one more decoration or 'extra' i can afford at the wedding :)

I do not get paid overtime either but I do get 7 weeks vacation and a bonus in May
