i hate my dentist....

i was up from 3am to 5am because of the pressure in my mouth, i even took asprin and still!
i think i have a messed up dentist- 1 rootcanal with post and cap is taking 8 visits....and the last 5 can only be once a week!

If it makes you feel any better, my DH is going for the same procedure and he's up to his 5th visit now, and still has a few more... I guess that's how it's done. But his dentist gave him a prescription for vicodin, so we LIKE this guy!!!

It took me 3 for mine and My dentist gave me pain killers in the beginning as a precaution!
Sorry you are having such a poor experience!
I have to say I love my dentists!

EIGHT VISITS???
My god!

Mine was three.. one to drill it out and stick in a temporary cap, once for the molding and once for the fitting. I had a post & cap too.

None of it was fun but I can't believe they are making you go back and forth that many times.

Then again, it took a little over a month to get it all done for me. So every two weeks or so I was in the dentist. And this was the dentist I hated and left!

the most I had for a root canal (very bad...with infection) was 2 visits...


be very careful of going so many times - and ask your dentist about this- for lockjaw....my father got it, after the 10th visit once (not to scare you at all...my father needed MUCH more than root canal)


I had a FANTASTIC dentist in LI...Dr Linsky in Great Neck...15 Bond Street...

we have a really crapy dentist plan.. and he is one of the few that accepts it...

its crazy cause im going once a week he spends no more than 10 to 15 minutes on me, yet i have to wait 45 minutes in the waiting room cause he always overscheduales....

its one dentist and you will normally see 6-10 people all waiting for him!

I feel your pain...growing up...my dad worked for the post office...and you would think gov't worker...good dental plan...

Horrible plan...I had to get 2 wisdom teeth out...and they only did local anestesia!!! it was the worst experience at the dentist I have ever had...


and the waiting!!!

Feel better sweetie and I hear you about crappy dentist plans- it sucks!!
